STOPTOBER

During October, Surrey County Council is encouraging residents to take part in a 28 Day Challenge to stop smoking. Stoptober starts on 1st October, participants are able to sign up at any time during the month as the service runs throughout the year. By signing up to the challenge, you will receive daily emails, support, motivation and advice from the local stop smoking service, One You Surrey, to help them stay on track on their smoke-free journey.

Those wanting more information about the 28 Day challenge or wishing to join the programme they can do so via the One You Surrey website: https://oneyousurrey.org.uk/28daychallenge/

Warlingham Green Medical Practice, Chaldon Road Surgery and Whyteleafe Surgery are merging.

From 1st October Whyteleafe Surgery will be joining Warlingham Green and Chaldon Road Surgeries as one group practice.

All three surgeries have already been co-operating closely as part of East Surrey CCG for some time and they will all continue functioning in the same way as currently from their existing locations with their current telephone numbers. Patients will not see any change to their day to day care and will continue seeing the same doctors and nurses as previously. There will be no change to your hospital treatments and appointments.

The change will however, allow the group of doctors to work more closely together to provide cover at times of absence. It will also mean that the doctors and their patients will benefit from extended specialist GP knowledge within the group and receive more services including minor surgery, coils and implants, ultrasound scans, ambulatory blood pressure and ECGs  and ophthalmology appointments all delivered locally.

The surgeries will also be able to pool administrative functions including management of medical records and clinical correspondence, IT services and telephony, amongst others. These efficiencies will allow us to continue providing excellent services at a time of general constraints within the NHS.

The only change you may notice will be that some of the correspondence will have the address of Warlingham Green on it instead of Whyteleafe Surgery. This is because Warlingham Green is the lead practice of the group and as such is listed as the contact address for the surgery.

Closed for Staff Training

The practices will be closed for training on the following afternoons  26th November 2019 and 17th March 2020, if you need to see a GP during this time, please call 111 who will advise you.

Pregabalin and Gabapentin
